These Terms govern your use of Mimi. By downloading or using Mimi, you agree to these Terms and, where applicable, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

About Mimi

Mimi is an educational and entertainment companion that helps users observe cat sounds, body-language clues, routines, lessons, and quizzes. Its interpretations are estimates and should not be treated as facts about an animal's intent or health.

No veterinary advice

Mimi is not a veterinary, medical, diagnostic, or emergency service. Do not rely on Mimi to diagnose, treat, or rule out health issues. Contact a veterinarian for sudden changes, pain, distress, breathing problems, appetite changes, litter-box concerns, or anything that worries you.

Mimi+ subscriptions

Mimi may offer optional auto-renewable monthly and annual Mimi+ subscriptions. The exact duration, price, trial eligibility, and included features appear in the app before purchase.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID after confirmation.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your Apple ID may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings.
• Any unused portion of a free trial may be forfeited when a subscription is purchased, where applicable.

Advertising

The free version of Mimi may display third-party advertising. Mimi+ may remove or reduce advertising while an eligible subscription entitlement is active. Advertising availability can vary by location, consent status, and technical availability.

Refunds

Apple processes App Store payments and refund requests. Refund eligibility is determined by Apple under its applicable policies.

Your content and device data

You are responsible for recordings, names, photos, and other content you choose to create or store in Mimi. Do not record people without permission or use content you do not have the right to use. Local data may be lost if you delete the app, reset the device, or lose access to the device.

Acceptable use

You may not misuse Mimi, interfere with its operation, attempt to bypass purchase or advertising controls, reverse engineer it except where law expressly permits, or use it in violation of applicable law or third-party rights.

Third-party services

Mimi relies on services supplied by Apple, RevenueCat, Amplitude, Google, GitHub, and others. Their services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies, and their availability is outside Mimi's control.

Availability and changes

Features may change, pause, or stop. We may update Mimi and these Terms to reflect product, legal, or security changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mimi is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Mimi.
